Mt. Madison House, Piazza, Gerham, NH

I love this postcard...
It's one that I have admired over the years... perhaps the serenity or the old time peacefulness really appeals to me. Just imagine how things use to be! Ah! that was a time when people were thinkers!

Just imagine sitting there on that peaceful day, what would you do?

Here It Is! The Album!

Here is the Album that the Postcards come from... It's about 100 years old... same as the cards.

Aunt Mable sure was faithful about saving postcards. There are many cards that Aunt Mable mailed to herself when she traveled.

Thank you Great Aunt Mable!

more to come

Well, since we have chickens and a garden, things have been a bit tight here. The post card blog goes on and more, yes many are to be expected in the very near future. In fact I will be posting a slide show of many of the post cards soon.

Have anyone figured out the answers to the Post Card question on the bottom of the page?
Answers are:

"A house divided against itself cannot endure permanently half slave and half free"

The post-mark is 1912

First Post Card Picture

O.K. Here's the first picture... I thought fitting since we live in the country and have chickens!

This card is printed in Germany. Date on the post mark is 1909
Thank you Aunt Mable!
I have Postcards, old postcards, thanks to my Great Aunt Mable who lived in Maine in the late 1800's and early 1900's.

My very dear Aunt saved and collected Postcards from all over the United States, and a few from Japan.

I have very happily inherited them and am enjoying them a great deal!
So much, that I'd like to share them with all of those who appreciate these vintage treasures as I do!

In this blog I hope to have many pictures to show you and hope that some of you will let me know what you think!

Thanks for visiting!
